Ultra High Resolution Pathology Informatics Computing System
Pathology is an important specialty in medicine as majorities of medical diagnoses are performed by pathologists. Unlike other medical specialties, which have been highly automated, pathology has not benefited from the technological advancments. The inspections of fluid or tissue specimens are still being done manually with a microscope.
With the advances in imaging technologies, digital imaging has progressively entered the pathology world and changed the way of diagnosis. Now pathologists are looking for high-quality colour image, which will help
them to make more accurate diagnoses.
CIT's Ultra High Resolution Pathology Informatics Computing System has been developed to digitize slide data at high resolution, thereby improving efficiency of pathology report and enabling the researcher an easy and fast access to data they need. This system contains a UHR-camera, a high resolution monitor and image analysis software.
