Moderato
The NDT inspection simulation tool simplifies the method of creation of radiographic techniques for the industrial radiographic applications. The inspection tool simulates the radiographic method, which generates the radiographic images without having to carry out the radiography in practice. The simulated radiographic image is displayed on the computer screen, within seconds of the parameters been fed into the set-up.
The inspection simulation tool relies on ray tracing mathematical algorithms for radiation scattering, which defines the following:
> Radiographic source, by modelling its spectra, density and resolution.
> Detector, by modelling its characteristic imaging curve
> Component to be inspected, by modelling its material, orientation and position. The geometry of the object to be inspected can be defined by standard CAD packages or by parametric geometry models.
> Display of viewable variations on exposure times, light box, energy dynamic change
