Microfocus X-ray Generators

Microfocus tube heads are usually water cooled in order to remove the heat generated at these high power densities. The tube head can be opened, allowing to replace the X-ray target (anode) by another metal in order to modify the X-ray spectrum to meet special inspection requirements, change the tube head window, and even remove the target module itself and replace it with a rod-anode tube. These rod anode tube heads range in diameters from 4 mm to 18 mm and come in various lengths up to 1500 mm. With rod anode tubes this small one can often perform inside out single wall radiography on components with a flaw detection sensitivity that was previously unattainable.

The amount of geometric magnification possible with a specific microfocus x-ray tube is also a crucial parameter to determine. Therefore, one should consider the minimum distance between the focal spot and the tube head face which determines just how close one can place an object to the X-ray source. Since facility limitations and/or the radiation inverse square law (I/R2 ) prevent one from placing the detector at extremely long distances from the source the minimum object to X-ray source distance determines the upper limit of magnification.
High Resolution, High Power Reflection Tubes

High Resolution, High Power Reflection Tubes

These x-ray sets feature ada[ptive target current control for radiation stability along with automatic calibration, warm-up, tube conditioning, electron beam centering and filament current optimisation. These are high power tubes with Tungsten target and internal cooling mechanism. These tubes have a focal spot size of 5 microns and defect detectability of 1.5 microns.

Reflection type tubes are available in 160 and 225 kV.

Rod Anode Type

Rod Anode Type

Rod-anode type x-ray tubes are optimised for target cooling to provide long-term radiation stability and are auto-calibrated for optimum performance. These tubes feature adjusted ready-to-use click-in cathodes and automatic tube venting for easy maintenance and extended life. Different rod anodes are provided varying in both length and diameter to cater to different exposure requirements. At the same time, the target type can be adjusted to be panoramic, transmission or reflection - thus providing complete flexibility.

Rod-anode tube is available in 240 kV with and without cooling.

Single Pack, Computer Controlled

Single Pack, Computer Controlled

Integrated single pack assembly consisting of x-ray tube, filament supplies, control circuitry and digital interface makes them easy to port. These tubes are designed to give continuous operation and can be controlled via a digital or analog interface.

These are available in 80kV, 33 microns and 250kV, 1.5mm.
